Half way

So I just realized that I forgot to post for yesterday. And what better time to make that up than after I am woken up by my pups going crazy way too early in the morning?

So I am halfway done with my much too long week. Yay! After today I have Monday then Tuesday then freedom! Wednesday morning we are having internet installed so if I decide to continue with this my post may actually be worth reading haha.

Work last night was not the best. Overall it wasn't bad but parts just made me upset. To start off, Saturdays are a hit or miss. Either everyone is calling to buy and get it over with or everyone is calling to dick you around. Yesterday was the latter to the two unfortunately. But things were looking like they weren't going to be too bad when I had a guy that called with three cars who had done a web quote, had a couple questions but wanted to buy. So I help him with everything and it ends up that I am saving him over $800 a year. Great. So I ask for his credit card info and he starts telling me that he read tht if he purchases online then he will get another $100 back. Now you have to know that at work I am called Guru as a semi running joke that I know if not everything then damn close to it. So I let him know that he must have been mistaken because in his state the online purchase isn't even an option for our company. But of course he wants to dispute it. Now, I am not saying that what he read wasn't true and legitimate, it was just not for our company. (But how can i know?) He was still looking at the purchase page. Our system is set up so that only one person can be in a policy at a time so the fact that I had opened the web quote with ease told me that he was looking at something else. But he insisted that I double check so I went to find a supervisor. Well unfortunately there was only one available...the only one that I do not like and the only one who I know was going to be a jackass. But I had to at least ask because in an ever changing world even a guru like me can be wrong once in a while. So I ask him and he said to give him a minute and he would be over to help...great...not

So I had to wait another 3-4 minutes. Generally this isn't bad except when you are a customer on hold. But he finally comes over and before I say anything he jumps on my phone and acts like a complete and total douche! Keep in mind that this customer didn't ask for a supervisor and all I asked for was his opinion so when he got on the phone and acted like a dick so the customer was rightfully startled and said he had already been helped...so what does this sad excuse for a coaching partner do? HE TELLS HIM TO HAVE A NICE DAY AND HANGS UP!!!!!!! I understand that many of you are not familiar with how things work in my world but we are sometimes paid per item and this was a three item policy. A rarity and technicality aside he was ready to buy!! To be honest that ruined my day. I eventually lucked out with a 5 car policy later on but I could have had 8 and on days like yesterday I could have used it.

But that is my rant for yesterday. I am going to chase down a few more zzzzzzzzzs and post again later to make up for the mishap :) laterdays...

  1. Ruby...what a sucky jerk! I think you need to tell another supervisor what happened, and that you'd like to know what to say when that situation happens again. Then you won'd need a jerk-face to mess up a sale for you!

You want me to come over there and beat his ass???
